Spot UV Curing and Light Curing Systems

Spot UV curing is a production technique used to polymerize a UV cure adhesive in precision assemblies through the use of radiant energy (i.e. ultraviolet curing). The UV cure adhesive bonding solutions from OmniCure® offer leading edge technology in reliable light curing systems that deliver the most repeatable spot curing process on the market.

Benefits of UV Cure Adhesive Bonding

UV curing technology permits the application of solvent-free adhesive bonding in many precision product manufacturing assemblies. The primary advantages to a UV cure adhesive are regulatory compliance through the virtual elimination of volatile organic compounds (VOC) and fast production speeds through the use of reliable light curing systems. Other major process and performance advantages of UV curing include the absence of heat, water or solvents in the bonding process with superior heat and chemical resistance, excellent optical clarity and high shear strength when compared to many other non-UV cure adhesives.
